Ranging - Persian Date Dessert


1 Cup dates, pitted

1 Cup all-purpose flour 1/3 cup oil ( if needed add more as shown in video) 1/2 cup walnuts, halves 4 Tbsp icing sugar 1 Tbsp cinnamon powder 1 tsp ginger powder 2 tbsp pistachios and walnuts, finely crushed


Place the walnuts into the pitted dates and place it in a plate, in a pan toast the flour until it becomes light brown (stirring frequently). Add the cinnamon powder and ginger powder. Then add the oil and cook it for 5 minutes.

Pour the batter on to the dates and let it cool for at least 30 minutes and then decorate it with icing sugar, cinnamon, pistachio and walnuts.
